What are fillers and why are they needed?

The issue of preserving and prolonging youth occurs in women, usually with the appearance of the first wrinkles. Various cosmetic and pharmaceutical products and cosmetic procedures are used, and some women even agree to surgical interventions. But an experienced cosmetologist, realistically assessing the scale of the problem, will definitely recommend alternative plastic techniques. Such as, for example, the application of fillers.

The goal is to preserve youth

What is "fillers"? In cosmetology practice, this term is familiar to every experienced specialist. He happens to be the English verb "to fill", which in translation means "to fill".

In fact, these drugs are injectable formulations that can perform several functions:

  • elimination of mimic wrinkles;
  • reduction of deep wrinkles;
  • face oval correction;
  • adding additional volume to problem areas (lips, cheekbones, cheeks, buttocks);
  • tightening the skin in the neck.

With proper use of such funds can achieve almost perfect results without harm to health.

Main varieties

First of all, it should be said that fillers differ depending on the sphere of use, they can be:

  • injection;
  • cosmetology.

The first are intended for use in cosmetology rooms and clinics of aesthetic medicine, while the latter are suitable for home use. Fillers of the second type may be in the form of a cream, serum, solution or patches (masks having the form of a patch).

Both species work in the same way - they fill the empty space between the cells.

A positive effect can be achieved thanks to the main active substances that make up the fillers:

  • hyaluronic acid;
  • collagen;
  • elastin;
  • silicones.

Also fillers, depending on the content and characteristics of the action, are divided into:

  • biodegradable (fissionable);
  • biodegradable;
  • autologous.

Fissile products are made from fillers, which eventually dissolve under the skin. Such substances are hyaluron and collagen.They are as close in composition to the components of the skin, and therefore practically do not cause adverse reactions.

Non-cleavable are most often made from silicone components. They are not withdrawn and do not disintegrate.

But autologous are, perhaps, the most interesting, because they are made from human tissues, in particular fatty. To get the material, before the procedure of introducing a filler, women are sent for liposuction. This method is considered the safest and most promising, but very expensive. The undoubted advantage of autologous means is that the organism practically in 100% of cases takes them without health consequences.

How to decide?

If you want to carry out the correction at home, designed for this cosmetic products, it will be enough to consult with a beautician and learn about the rules for the use of fillers.

But if you decided on the injection procedure, it is better to find an experienced specialist and entrust the decision of this issue to him. First of all, because professional cosmetologists are well acquainted with anatomy, they will be able to correctly assess the extent of the problem, and they knowhow to choose the required dosage, concentration, depth of administration and the duration of the composition in the tissues.

How does this happen?

Before the procedure, patients are recommended to drink a course of antiviral drugs. This is done in order to minimize the risk of herpes.

A typical filler session takes 30-60 minutes. To solve problems in the upper layers of the skin, anesthesia is usually not used, but if you need to work with deep wrinkles or significantly change the contours of the face, then the beautician will offer you to do anaplastic anesthesia.

Further, with the help of a thin long needle, the drug falls under the skin, smoothing it from the inside.

Doctors also use the method of perpendicular injection, which makes it possible to create a kind of skeleton under the skin. That is, the drug is injected not only under the wrinkle, but also perpendicular to it.

Rehabilitation period

Within a few minutes after the beauty session, you will notice the first effect. But it does not do without side effects in the form of puffiness, feelings of bursting, redness and swelling. All this takes place in a few hours. But it is also important to pay attention to skin care after the introduction of the filler.Namely:

  1. On the first day you need to give up hot, salty and spicy foods so as not to aggravate the swelling. If the drug was injected into the lips, in any case, do not eat nuts or seeds, it can lead to microtraumas through which infections can easily get.
  2. For 3 days after the procedure, active exercise is prohibited, and the sauna should be postponed for at least a week.
  3. To avoid the appearance of pigmentation in the area of the procedure, it is worth refusing to visit the solarium for a month and try not to stay long in the open sun.
  4. If the filling was done in the area of the nasolabial folds, it will be impossible to visit the dentist for 1-2 weeks, as it is contraindicated to open the mouth widely during this period.
  5. For two weeks you can not apply scrubs and peelings, and you also need to be careful when applying makeup if the composition has been injected into wrinkles under the eyes, especially avoiding pressure.

Modern cosmetic means

In cosmetology practice recently used several drugs based on hyaluronic acid, which are considered the best. These are Restylane, Surgiderm, Teosyal and Juvederm.Each of them has a different degree of density, thereby helping to solve various problems.

Less viscous formulations are effective for fine wrinkles and do a great job with the first signs of aging, and the means with a more dense texture work with deep changes in the skin layers.

In the first case, the effect lasts about 4-6 months, and the second 1-2 years.

Precautionary measures

Like any injection "beauty procedure", the philling has its contraindications:

  • chronic autoimmune diseases;
  • dermatological problems;
  • herpes;
  • diabetes;
  • hemophilia;
  • pregnancy and lactation;
  • recent salon peeling or polishing.

Age-related changes do not always make a woman unattractive, but if you want to look younger and “fresher”, there is always the opportunity to go to the beautician for a course of filling.
