The simplest scheme of automatic water level control

A device made with one's hands on one transistor can be made by almost anyone who wants it and makes little effort to purchase very inexpensive and not numerous components and solder them into the circuit. It is used to automatically replenish water in the supply tanks at home, in the country and wherever there is water, without restrictions. And there are a lot of such places. First, let's look at the circuit of this device. It just doesn't happen any easier.
The simplest scheme of automatic control of the water level
The water level control in automatic mode using the simplest electronic water level control scheme. The whole water level control scheme consists of a few simple details and if without errors is assembled from good details, it does not need to be set up and will immediately start working as planned. I have such a scheme without failures has been working for almost three years, and I am very pleased with it.

List of parts

  • The transistor can be used any of these: KT815A or B. TIP29A. TIP61A. BD139. BD167. BD815.
  • GK1 - low level reed switch.
  • GK2 - high level reed switch.
  • GK3 - emergency level reed switch.
  • D1 - any red LED.
  • R1 - 3kΩ resistor 0.25 watt.
  • R2 - 300 ohm resistor 0.125 watt .
  • K1 - any 12 volt relay with two pairs of normally open contacts.
  • K2 - any 12 volt relay with one pair of normally open contacts.
  • As a signal source for replenishing water in the tank, I used float reed contacts. The diagram indicates GK1, GK2 and GK3. Chinese-made, but very decent quality. I can not say a single bad word. In the tank, where they stand, I have been treating water with ozone and over the years working on them, not the slightest damage. Ozone is an extremely aggressive chemical element and it dissolves many plastics completely without residue.

We now consider the operation of the circuit in automatic mode. When power is applied to the circuit, the float of the lower level of the ГК1 is triggered and through its contact and the resistors R1 and R2 are powered to the base of the transistor. The transistor opens and thereby energizes the coil of the relay K1. The relay is switched on and by its contact K1.1 it blocks the GK1 (the lower level), and the contact K1.2 supplies power to the coil of relay K2, which is executive and includes its contact K2.1 actuator. The actuator can be a water pump or an electric valve that pumps water into the tank. The water replenishes and when it exceeds the lower level, the GC1 switches off, thereby preparing the next cycle of operation. Having reached the upper level, the water will lift the float and turn on the GK2 (upper level) thereby closing the chain through R1, K1.1, GK2. Power to the base of the transistor will be interrupted, and it will close by turning off the relay K1, which will open K1.1 with its contacts and turn off relay K2. The relay in turn turns off the actuator. The scheme is prepared for a new work cycle.GK3 is a float of emergency level and serves as an insurance if suddenly the float of the upper level does not work. Diode D1 is an indicator of the device's operation in the mode of water filling. And now we will start making this very useful device.

Place the details on the board.

All the details are placed on the breadboard so that we do not make a printed one. When placing parts, you need to consider to solder as little as possible jumpers. It is necessary to use the conductors of the elements for installation as much as possible. br>
