How to bake duck in the oven with apples and oranges

You will need
  • -duck carcass at 2-2.5 kg;
  • -150 ml of mayonnaise;
  • -5 cloves of garlic;
  • -7 tbsp. soy sauce;
  • - seasonings and spices for poultry to taste;
  • -salt;
  • -4 apples;
  • -1 orange;
  • - prunes, dried apricots and walnuts to taste;
  • -foil;
  • -Orange juice;
  • -vegetable oil.
To make the meat juicy and not tough, it must be properly marinated. To do this, in a deep plate, mix soy sauce and mayonnaise, pour crushed garlic, salt and pepper to them. When the mass becomes homogeneous, it is coated with the carcass and leave the meat for 12 hours, so that it is well soaked.
When the marinating time is up, the stuffing is prepared: apples are peeled and cut into slices, the oranges are sliced, the nuts are crushed, but not to a state of powder. Dried fruits are washed and cut in small pieces. All ingredients are mixed in one bowl and stuffed duck with them, and to make the meat better soaked, the place of the duck cut is sewn up.
The baking sheet is lightly oiled and spread duck, covered with foil. In order to drain excess fat from a bird, it is pierced in several places with a knife. To duck completely cooked, you need to correctly calculate the cooking time. To do this, the birds multiply the weight by 45 minutes, and then add another 30 minutes.
After that, the duck is taken out, all the leaked fat is removed, and the carcass is spread on a dish and poured with orange juice. By the way, before baking, slices of apples and oranges can be laid out on a baking sheet around the duck, and to make the skin golden, you can remove the foil 30 minutes before turning off the oven.
