Is Ellen Pompeo Quitting the Acting Biz? Grey's Anatomy Star Might Leave the Biz
Ellen Pompeo Might Quit Acting After 'Grey's Anatomy'
Pompeo said she'll transition to working behind the scenes. She has started a production company called Calamity Jane and will be taking on projects like the ABC Family show based on the novel Debt. "That's fun for me, to find a book or an article or an idea and turn it into something," she said.
Though she said she'd "never say never" about another part someday, she said she doesn't have any more to prove in the acting world and wants to take on a new challenge. And it makes sense: If you had to wear scrubs and full makeup every day for 11 years, you might want a new challenge too.
