The great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin is known by his work to every student. Analysis of the poem "Monument" is an important element in the understanding of his work and his personal outlook. Each of the five stanzas of the poem is filled with a special meaning and gives the reader food for thought. According to the general mood and intonation, the poem can be safely regarded as a solemn message to his contemporaries, as the speech of a citizen and a poet in one person. By genre, it is similar to the Greco-Roman ode. It is based on this, the poet selected the construction of the poem, special words and intonation.

Already in the first stanza, when analyzing the poem “Monument”, the poet emphasizes his nationality, he says that with his creative work he erected a monument for himself that rises above the Alexander Column in honor of Alexander I. As you know, Pushkin is a recognized genius of the pen, not only in Russia.About his poetic immortality, he says the words that over time the people's path to it will not grow. He writes that he will find his continuation in his own work, while at least one poet is alive. At the same time, he writes that he will become known not only in Russia, but he will be read both by a distant Finn and a wild Tungus. Then follow the explanations of the poet himself about why he is loved. He says that he awakened good feelings with his poems and praised the freedom of the people. However, in the end he writes that, among other things, does not require praise and glory, his main goal is creativity, it is his muse.

In the analysis of the poem "Monument" by Pushkin A.S. it becomes clear that this is a result of his creative path, which he himself leads. It is also significant that it was written only a year before the poet’s death. Despite the fact that the poem has a clear construction of the Greco-Roman ode, it is saturated with close hearts, originally Russian words. That is what makes it even more popular and native to the heart of every Russian person. At first glance, seemingly contradictory thoughts, from elevating oneself as a poet to indifference to recognition, have an absolutely logical sequence.Man acknowledges that, rising in his rebelliousness, he comes to the divine vocation of his labor.

Creativity A.S. Pushkin is the immortal wealth of the Russian people. His poems, due to their deep meaning, will be interesting and revered not only among our contemporaries, but also among our children and grandchildren.
